Each charger is equipped with two CCS charging connectors. Instead of simply splitting the available 400 kW between two vehicles, the charger uses dynamic power sharing. This means that the available power is directed where it is needed most at any given moment.
When only one vehicle is charging, it can use up to 400 kW. When a second vehicle connects, the charger automatically distributes the available power according to how much each vehicle can accept at that moment.
For example, the power can be distributed as 300 + 100 kW or 200 + 200 kW. If the charging power of one vehicle decreases, the available power can automatically be allocated to the other vehicle.

The Alpitronic HYC400 uses 50 kW power modules and automatically adjusts the voltage, current and charging power required by each vehicle. This ensures that the available electrical capacity is used as efficiently as possible, while each vehicle receives the maximum charging power it can handle.
