Two state-of-the-art Kempower Satellite chargers have been installed at the new location, featuring a total of four charging posts and eight charging connectors. The high-powered system is capable of drawing approximately 400 kW of power from the electricity grid.

Smart charging directs power where it is needed most
Unlike older fast chargers, where each connector has a fixed maximum power output, the new charging station uses dynamic power distribution. This means that the station’s total available power is not permanently divided between vehicles. Instead, the system directs power to whichever vehicle is able to accept the most power at any given moment.
In practice, the system operates completely automatically:
- If you are charging alone: Your vehicle can use almost the station’s entire available power.
- If other vehicles connect: The system automatically and seamlessly distributes the available power between all connected vehicles.
- When one vehicle’s battery fills up: As soon as its charging speed decreases due to the battery reaching a higher state of charge, the freed-up power is immediately redirected to other vehicles.
Drivers do not need to adjust any settings themselves – the system handles everything automatically in the background. It is suitable for both newer and older electric vehicles.
The new charging station at Tondi Selver automatically detects the technical capabilities of each vehicle and adjusts the charging process accordingly. This allows electric vehicles from different generations to charge side by side without unnecessarily limiting one another’s charging speeds.
