The new charging stations will be installed next to the Nautica and Lasnamäe Centrum shopping centres, as well as in the car parks of Capfield’s portfolio Lasnamäe Prisma, Lasnamäe Bauhaus, Tondi Selver and Pärnu Maxima XXX. These are strategically chosen locations to bring charging even closer to electric car owners – to places they visit every day.
“Our aim is to make charging electric cars even more natural and easier than refuelling. Shopping malls, food and construction stores offer a great opportunity to combine charging with everyday activities. Not only is it more convenient, but it also saves time,” said Viljar Kont, Head of E-mobility Solutions at Enefit Estonia.
As demand grows, the need for higher capacity charging solutions is increasing, according to Kondi. “300 kW ultra-fast chargers ensure that charging takes minimal time. This can only benefit people with their fast pace of life. We are delighted that, in partnership with Capfield, we can make life much more convenient for visitors to shopping centres.”
The new chargers offer simultaneous charging for a total of 36 electric vehicles. The charging points in Tallinn and Pärnu will be among the largest in the Enefit Volt network.
“As owners of shopping centres, we see that customer expectations and needs are constantly changing,” said Reimo Simsalu, Head of Real Estate and Business Development at Capfield. “Electric car chargers are no longer just an additional service, but a necessary part of the modern shopping centre experience. In partnership with Enefit, we can offer convenience to our visitors through forward-thinking infrastructure.”
The installation of the chargers will be phased in gradually, with all new stations scheduled to open during 2026.
Enefit Volt is the largest electric car charging network in Estonia and is based on 100% green electricity.
