Until November 25, Nautica Center presents a selection of looks from the collection “A Short Lighthearted Comedy with Song and Dance”, created by young designers and close friends Karl Joonas Alamaa and Lisette Sivard. The collection stands out with its playful experiments in form and color, as well as its bold commentary on fashion and societal issues.
Nominated for the Hõbenõel 2023 award, the collection merges Alamaa and Sivard’s backgrounds in fashion and costume design with a conceptual approach to clothing. The result is an eclectic fashion performance exploring the act of trying as a phenomenon. The designers describe their boundary-pushing collection as modern Rococo—provocative yet entirely wearable.
Nautica Center, the collection’s gold sponsor, has supported Alamaa and Sivard’s creative journey with enthusiasm. “The ideas of young fashion designers have inspired the Nautica team for years, and we wholeheartedly support each new venture,” said Nautica Center manager Teana Baškirtseva.
For several years, Nautica Center has provided a platform for Estonian Academy of Arts students to showcase their art and creativity through exhibitions and various events within the shopping center.
